We headed down into the citadel’s basement, crossing an underground stream. The first interresting thing we found was a pit dug in a room defended by some kind of animated executioner’s hoods. They were dispatched easily. In the pit we found Suishen. Apparently Suishen is an inteligent blade.
We continued on and stubled upon 5 monks that blocked our route. We had quite a brawl, especially when a ninja joined the fray. A wellplace glitterdust spell limited her vanishing tricks and tipped the scale in our favour.
The next big encounter was a half troll caster type with a bunch of zombies. He managed to get off one spell, and the clamour in the hallway behind me was proof of at least some effect. But I didn’t have much time to check. I carved my way to him in seconds and hit him with an overhand chop to the head, just when Yoko appeared beside him and sliced his gut. And that was that. The we found our two spellcasters on the bottom of a pit that had been magicked into existance and had to wait a few minutes for the pit to disappear.
The last encounter was the leader of the Rimrunners Guild, in fact an oni from Tian Xia. She said she had Ulf and Ameiko prisoner and wanted to trade for the Amatatsu Seal. She had two magical statues outside the room that didn’t see me but didn’t let the rest pass. I decided I was not going to be blaskmailed by the monster and started the fight. She hit hard. Very hard.
We found Ameiko and Ulf locked up, as well as a winterwolf. We freed all of them and headed out.
Ulf agreed to guide us. So we began preparing the journey. In the mean time I went looking for the hag wed encountered before. I tracked her to a tavern in the Jade Quarter, and found a man who’d bought a cuirass off her. It’s a match to my father’s helmet, so I asked to buy it back. The man agreed. So now I have two pieces of the set.
Further investigations brought me to a shrine of Amoromi that had been dessecrated. It had an ancient statuette with magical properties allowing to contact another tempel in Tian Xia. Dara proposed for me to buy the statuette so I could learn about the faith of Amoromi. I decided to first look for a craftsman to make a fitting replacement. It took some days and Yari’s assistance to make this happen.
When we were on our way, we began to receive gifts from frost dwarves. I received a magical cloack that protects me from the elements. And one night we met the creature that had sent them. He’s also the master of the thunderbird that had been following us. He’s some kind of Jotunblood Frostgiant, and he’s interrested in us for some reason. He doesn’t seem hostile and I haven’t detected any duplicity so far.
